South Carolina Real Estate License Renewal

Effective 1/1/17, every two years, licensees must complete a total of ten (10) hours of Continuing Education prescribed by the Real Estate Commission for renewal of an active license. The continuing education must consist of the following: 1) a 4-hour CORE course 2) 6 hours in Elective course(s).

The 4-hour Core course for this renewal cycle is "3Ps of Professionalism: Principles, Practices, and Pitfalls."

While students are required to demonstrate mastery of the content at certain levels of the course, there are no passing requirements for final exams.

For information on continuing education exemptions or for dual credit you will need to contact the Real Estate Commission directly.

At this time South Carolina does not require Property Managers to take Continuing Education to renew their license.
