Last month (December), we asked our CE Plus members, “What are your career goals for 2021?” Here’s what they had to say.
Real Estate Career Goals For 2021
“To sell more houses.”
A lot of real estate agents stated that they wanted to “earn more” in the new year than they did in the previous year. However, when setting goals or resolutions, it is helpful to be as detailed as possible. If you want to earn more money, ask yourself how you’d actually go about doing that? Would it be to sell 5 more houses than you did last year? Would it be to ask your broker for a higher commission split? Would it be to purchase an investment property?
Once you’ve answered that question, then ask yourself the tactics or strategies you would use to accomplish that goal. If you want to sell 5 more houses than you did last year, how are you going to do that? Would you increase your marketing spend on social media? Knock on 20 houses per week? Send mailers out to your market area? However, you plan to accomplish your goals, the important part is to actually have a plan and write it down so that you can look back when you are in a slump or feel unmotivated.

“To full-time draftsman to full-time real estate agent/investor by the end of 2021.”
Many survey respondents indicated that they wanted to take their real estate career to the next level. Whether it is transitioning from part-time to full-time agent/investor or upgrading your license from agent to broker, there are a myriad of ways to get to where you want to be in your real estate career. You could even get a dual license in a related field such as real estate appraisal, home inspection or mortgage lending, all of which would enable you to better assist and educate your clients on everything that goes into the homebuying or home selling process while increasing your earning potential at the same time.
“To continue to learn and complete courses so I can assist my clients in the buying and selling of their most important asset.”
