Nevada Inspector of Structures are required to take 20 continuing education hours every 24 months. To renew an active certificate, a certified inspector must complete 20 hours of approved education, including, without limitation: (a) At least 3 hours of instruction on issues relating to the safety of any inhabitants of a structure being inspected and the inspector conducting the inspection; AND (b) At least 2 hours of instruction on the provisions of this chapter (laws) and chapter 645D or NRS. As a part of taking your IOS courses, a student must complete the evaluation form (#612b) at the end of each course prior to receiving the certificate of completion.
