Louisiana Real Estate Education Requirements

Online Info

All licensees must complete 12 hours per year of continuing education, 8 hours of which must be in the mandatory topic specified by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.

There are no limits to the number of hours that may be taken online

Roster

Roster Required: yes
Roster Process: Rosters are emailed every Tuesday. LREC education records are not obtained from the course completion certificates issued to licensees by education providers but rather from course completion reports submitted to the LREC by those providers. Licensees need not send those certificates unless the LREC requests them. Rosters must be submitted by the 15th of the following after course completion. **If you need or want the roster submitted earlier than the scheduled date, there is a $10 rush fee for that service.** Rosters must be submitted with in 10 days of course completion, NO EXCEPTIONS

LA Pre - Rosters are now to be sent Monthly. They want each month of completions on one roster. Will be sent first business day for previous month.

Louisiana Real Estate: Post License Requirements

Post Licensing: All broker and salespeople must complete 45 hours of post-license education plus the 4-hour mandated core topic within 180 days after their initial license date for their first renewal cycle. 

The licensee has until December 31 to complete the additional 4-hour mandated core topic. 

McKissock does not currently offer the post-licensing courses.
